U.S. eCommerce sales totaled $271.7 billion in the third fiscal quarter of 2023, up 7.75% YoY. 

  • Adjusted for seasonal variation, retail e-commerce sales totaled an estimated $284.1 billion in 2023 Q3, or 15.6% of total retail sales for the quarter. 
  • Quarterly e-commerce sales increased 7.6% YoY from 2022 Q3 to 2023 Q3, compared to a 2.3% increase in total retail sales in the same period. 
  • As of September 2023, e-commerce accounts for 14.9% of all retail sales in the U.S.
  • In 2023, U.S. e-commerce sales have increased  7.13% YoY. 
  • eCommerce as a percentage of retail sales is up 3.22% YoY. 
  • U.S. e-commerce sales have grown 88% faster than general retail sales since September 2022.
