About Crocs

Crocs products were originally developed as a boating shoe. The company's founders Scott Seamans, Lyndon "Duke" Hanson, and George Boedecker, Jr. originally wanted to create and sell a foam clog shoe design based on a product of a company in Quebec called Foam Creations. Its first model was called Beach and was launched in 2002 at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show where all 200 pairs were sold out. The company acquired Foam Creations in 2004 to gain exclusive rights to the patented foam resin called Croslite, which takes the form of the feet of the wearer to offer supposed medical benefits.

Today, Crocs is a global brand of casual footwear for men, women, and children. Crocs.com offers a wide array of products for every season that still stays true to its tradition, featuring the innovative Crosslite technology. The company has over 500 retail stores in more than 90 countries all over the world.
